Today in class we heard from a student who just returned from spending a year in Japan on an exchange. *_* Pity Concordia isn't likely to accept transfer credits for Animation 3, because that sounds awesome. Especially since the foreign exchange department of a university is much more likely to understand problems like keeping kosher and not going to school on Yamim Tovim than, say, an administrator at a school in the middle of nowhere associated with JET.

I have to stop writing runon sentences. Ehehe.

I don't know if there's any point in commenting on TGS news, because there's been so much said that I would probably just repeat somebody else's words (like the monkeys with typewriters.) So I'll stick with the realatively obscure stuff, like the FF 4 GBA port. I wonder if it'll be a complete remake along the lines of FF 1&2 or not. The press release mentions new stuff, including new abilities, which is interesting. I guess they'll add in new dungeons...? Don't make me regret buying the PSX port, Square, that wouldn't be nice!

Unfortunately, though, because the article is poorly worded and even the oldest FF games have a lot of stupid fans, there are six pages worth of theorizing who the nonexistent 'new characters' will be. The press release mentions twelve characters, which is exactly how many there were in the original game, but maybe rumor-mongering is more fun than counting. I suppose actually playing the games is less fun than being silly about them~ :P

Oh, and I watched Last Order today. It was painful to see the aftermath of Nibelheim; admittedly it was part of Cloud's past that was only alluded to in the game and benefited from being cleared up, but it's not pleasant subject matter. I hate that slimy bastard Hojo! XO It made me want to fire up the PS2 and kill him. And Sephiroth. And Jenova. Etc etc.

Apparently Alter Code F comes out next month? But I'm broke, I spent my WA money on the last volume of Maloki! Why does Agetec have to get its act together when everything else I want is being released? And then there's ToL in, um, February and KH2 whenever. I may have to cancel my WA preorder, because while I look forward to it, it doesn't stand much of a chance next to KH2. (ie. KH2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>unbreakable barrier>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>supporting Tales in the US>>>>>seeing Cecilia again) Except I managed to order it at Amazon when it was listed at $39.99 instead of $54.99, so I'll lose those theoretical twenty dollars if I cancel now. Eeek eek eek.

Suffice to say that I'll have to hold off on the next few volumes of TRC and holic for a while!
